About Us
Founded in 1954, the American College of Preventive Medicine (ACPM) is a professional, medical society of nearly 3,000 members employed in research, academia,
government, clinical settings, and other entities worldwide. ACPM provides a dynamic forum for the exchange of knowledge among preventive medicine
specialists, and offers high-quality educational programs for continuing medical education (CME) and maintenance of certification (MOC), information and
resources for ongoing professional development, and networking opportunities. Through interaction with the media, ACPM hopes to provide a forum for both the
press and public to gain insight and information about ACPM and our work, and learn about more about preventive medicine research and trends.

Press Credentials
ACPM holds two major meetings each year: the Board Review Course in late summer; and the Preventive Medicine (Annual Meeting) in the winter.  The
Board Review Course is an opportunity for physicians to prepare for board certification exams, administered by the American Board of Preventive Medicine.
The Preventive Medicine meeting provides physicians with an opportunity to learn, share and network in a collegial setting. For media and the general
public, ACPM’s Preventive Medicine meeting provides an opportunity to learn more about preventive medicine, and become or stay current on the latest research and
developments in the specialty.

Complimentary press passes are provided for the Preventive Medicine meeting. Proper credentials are required to receive a press pass for meetings.
These credentials include:

        • Recognized press card
        • Membership for a national journalism association
        • Business card clearly showing media affiliation and position (such as editor, writer, producer, reporter, etc.)
        • Letter on official letterhead from an editor of a publication or a producer of a program certifying that you are covering the meeting for their respective publication

Spouses and other guests of journalists cannot register as press and must pay the regular registration fee. Ad sales representatives, publishers and other non-writing
media staff must also register through ACPM’s regular registration process, and remit payment of the appropriate fee.

For press registration, please email press credentials to Wanda Manson, Conference Registrar,
or fax to 202-466-2662.

After February 10, all registrations (including press) must be handled onsite. Please see
